Lessons Learnt #1 Believe

The other day I mentioned my intention to add an element to my blog entitled 'Lessons Learnt'.  Well, number one lesson came almost immediately!  'Believe'.  You see after I wrote my blog I went off and started doubting myself, thinking who would be interested anyway?  No one will bother whether or not I write about lessons learnt.  I was wrong and was surprised that I had a comment so soon not only liking my idea, but said "count me in".

On the same day before I looked at my blog I noticed from my kitchen widow a spider spinning her web, a fine specimen don't you think?  I just had to take a photograph, (yes I'm soon distracted from the kitchen sink these days) don't get me wrong it's not because I particularly enjoy natural history photography but the fact this spider seemed to be suspended in mid-air miles away from anything caught my attention!

Turning to my love I said "she's never spinning a web there is she?  It will never survive".  We went out to inspect her work being attached to the shrubbery between the house and boundary wall by fine, silky strands, a distance of well over six feet!  I watched her all day long being buffeted by the wind, she just kept hanging in there spinning away.  Evening time came, there she was sitting pretty in the completed web but I couldn't see any fruits for her labour thinking she'll be gone in the morning!

Next day she was still there in all her glory, sun lighting up her beautiful work.  I was stunned and surprised, looking closer my love pointed out the finer details of her body 'artwork', can you see?  Skull and Crossbones very trendy hey?

Today low and behold she's still hanging out there in the breeze.
Still can't see what's sustaining her presence.
Still no sign of supper!
Something's keeping her there though!

 SELF-BELIEF

To the spider self-belief is 'Second Nature' we have to work a little harder!

After your comment on my blog today I had to come find this entry (I'm way behind on my blog reading). What a great story (even if I couldn't bring myself to look at the spider pictures). I look forward to reading more "Lessons Learnt!"

Continuum

A Continuum ~> continual sequence of ~> elemental change ~> By far this is the most difficult post written by myself, ever. I have not visited this place for sometime... I have been 'lying low' as an old friend used to put it, not low through depression or anything like that but since my love passed away parts of my known world have passed too. I have difficulty recognizing the landscape around me, I'm lying low so that I can absorb some of the new terrain. I am still quite dizzy, it's going to take some time... Much of what I wrote about here in this space would involve a brief glimpse of 'my love' and our life together. I had thought of closing 'Finding my Bliss', for a pivotal part of everything this blog has stood for seemed on the surface of things to be missing! But as the days have come and gone I am beginning to look at things in a different light and although I am grieving for my love I find I am l feeling his prese
